Snow Day

On January 4th this year we got snow.  Not a whole lot of snow, but enough that my kids were super excited to go sledding down the hill at our elementary school across the street.

  Then, the freezing rain hit.  Branches were covered in ice.  It looked so pretty, but caused quite a bit of damage to trees.....

I went out on my front patio and captured a few shots of trees covered in ice.

Happy New Year - 2015

Happy new year!  And welcome 2015....
A new year.  New beginnings.  Time to try something new.  This year I am going to try to be a lot better at this blogging thing.  Let's see how it goes!

I know I've said it before, and I will say it again:  I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.  We have lots of eagles out here right now, and it has always been my goal to capture a few shots of them.....  and I was given the perfect opportunity a couple of days ago!
