We drove to the ocean a couple of weeks ago, for a family outing. Our children were so excited about it all, the screams of delight as they saw the ocean in the distance as we got close, knowing we would be there soon. Their amazement at how warm the water felt on their bare toes, the realization as to how vast the ocean really is - almost as though it never ends.
Someone pointed out that if we were to get onto a boat, right there at White Rock, we could sail all the way to my grandfather in Thailand. And my aunt and cousins in Australia. They suddenly felt a little closer to these people so far away from them, because the ocean connects us all. It was amazing, and I can't wait to go again !!!
