Today we enjoyed this beautiful non-rainy day, and took our little dog for a walk along the river. My littlest girl is always looking for a photo opportunity, and got all dressed up for our walk. Of course I obliged, how could I say no to this cute little face? :)

On a side note, I have recently come to realize something I never knew about myself. You see, I LOVE summer. I love spending long days at the beach, and staying up late around the fire in our backyard. I spend all winter longing for summer days, and hot summer sun. While everyone else is complaining about the heat, I relish it, knowing it wont last.
Autumn is of course beautiful, with the mountains aglow with shades of red, yellow, and orange. Everything is crisp and crunchy. Autumn sunsets always seem to make my heart melt.....
Spring is awake with newness, experiencing the first buds of the season, the leaves growing green and thick in the trees. Bare feet and butterflies.
This year I am embracing winter as well. I am loving the pure white light the coolness brings, and the beauty of the tiny ice crystals glittering like diamonds in the frost. The many eagles lining the water near my house, and going for walks with my children and counting them all. Everything seems so still, so quiet. I find it refreshing to go outside and just listen - listen to the quiet of winter.....
