Time for a fresh start.

New beginnings.

Welcome 2012

This past year was very emotional for me, first with the passing of my sister's best friend's 1 1//2 year old baby girl, (Jasmin - I will never forget your smile),  then learning of friends of my children from when they were being home schooled being in a horrific car accident, where they lost their father (not to mention the physical challenges they are having to face). Shortly after that my friends', and neighbors, lost their six month old baby girl, after battling with congenital heart defects.  {I will always love you, Bobbie Rainne ♥}

I have to admit, though, 2011 wasn't all bad......

We welcomed Jasmine's baby sister Soraya into the world while the Canucks lost the playoffs and Vancouver was ravaged by rioters. She shocked her parents by arriving earlier than planned, then she surprised us all again by leaving the hospital at 6 weeks old, earlier than expected, and on my birthday.  That same day we also welcomed sweet Aayla as she came into the world, such a wonderful birthday gift :) 

I also held a family photo fundraiser for BC Children's Hospital in November, in memory of Bobbie Rainne, and raised just over $200 for the hospital. 

I had two Military Moment sessions with The Maple Leaf Mission, and met some wonderful people because of it, thank you for the opportunity!   I look forward to many more MLM sessions this coming year....

I look forward this coming year to meeting my newest niece or nephew when s/he makes an appearance (middle of June-ish), look out for the newborn photos  - I can't wait.....  ♥

I plan on doing more blogging this year with my photography, and being more confident in myself and my work, as well as more supportive to those around me.  I am not going to allow anyone to hold me back, including myself !

Be on the look-out for some changes coming to BrandyShots Photography, some of them coming very soon - I am so excited about it, and I look forward to sharing and growing as a business with you all. 

  I am hoping 2012 will bring with it some good times, wonderful memories, and, of course, lots of great photos !
